Health and safety at Prime Design
we firstly wanted to wish all of our customers a very happy new year!
At Prime Design we take health and safety very seriously as this is our main priority when working, we will implement and carefully manage safety systems to keep all those involved in projects safe. Delivering any capital projects increases potential safety risks as by their nature they are out of the ordinary. We offer a range of services to help successfully manage project safety.
We will carry out health and safety audits and assessments where we carry out a one-off assessment or alternatively, an ongoing programme of inspections on your project. By doing this it will give you piece of mind as we will immediately highlight issues to the people involved and provides a written inspection report for your convenience. It could be possible that your safety record on a project is poor or you have a reason to feel doubtful that safe practices are being followed, whatever this reason may be for your uncertainty then we will highlight any issue and therefore support you in resolving them.
CDM is a mandatory documented process that manages higher risk projects, at Prime Design we can act as a CDM Principal Contractor or CDM Principal Designer on your project.
We also provide experienced site managers that can take control of your project worksite. The responsibilities within this role include reviewing and approve RAMS, issue and monitor permits, coordinate day to day activities, manage contractors, carryout toolbox talks an assess standards of work. A site manager will additionally formally report and investigate any safety issues that may happen at the worksite, the function of this manager will be undertaken by the Principal Contractor if it is done under CDM but a separate activity if CDM does not apply. Here at Prime Design, we can help you in both situations.
Another service included is our Control of Contractors, here we will utilise Salutis software to successfully manage contractors. Whether the specific requirement is for a single project or for ongoing support across a few the projects the arrangement is the same. We will monitor contracting companies: status, insurance provision and safety record, also including individual personnel competencies and their permits to work.
