Canning and Pouch Filling Project (China)
Prime Design was asked by PLF International to manage the entire filling and packing element of a green field infant formula plant in China. The project was for a multi-national client and involved a high speed canning line, 3 pouch filling lines and all associated equipment. The project duration was 24 months and involved the set-up and management of a local site office. The filling and packing project cost was £20m+ and we were enlisted from the outset to develop specifications and implement the project. We then oversaw the training, commissioning and operational start up of all the lines. The project was a huge success with the standard of facility and equipment specifications becoming an international benchmark for the client.
