Line Integration
When you begin to think about your increasing manufacturing capacity, among the first things to consider are increasing efficiencies and reducing waste, but once you have completed these projects, what comes next if you need more capacity?
It may also be the case that you have won a large order from one of your biggest customers which requires a new production line or new equipment to be bought and integrated into an existing line.
Purchasing equipment is not the only consideration. You cannot buy pieces of equipment, link them physically together with conveyors and hope that the line will now run at predicted outputs.
What are you going to do about the line integration so that the equipment runs efficiently when connected together and communicates effectively with other manufacturing and management systems?
