Project Manager Vacancy

The Opportunity:

Prime Design Projects specialises in the design, installation, commissioning and validation of factory layouts and production lines in FMCG industries, in particular food, dairy and nutritional industries. We are looking for an experienced project manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Role:

Based at home, you will work with the Prime Design Projects team, our customers, and OEM suppliers to support and lead manufacturing projects.

Within this role, you would be required to manage the whole project process:

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close the project: Key areas: scope, team leadership, schedule, communications, cost, risk, quality, procurement, HSE.
  • Lead project teams and build good relationships with all stakeholders, Prime Design employees, customers, end users, OEM suppliers, other contractors, project team members.
  • Complete User Requirements Documents and ensure they are clearly communicated, understood, and complied with.
  • Manage change orders.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Write and present regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate and attend (if necessary) Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of equipment at suppliers.
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of equipment to site from around the world.
  • Co-ordinate the installation on site and ensure its accuracy.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the commissioning on site up to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Record and agree all test results.
  • Follow HSE regulations and rules.
  • Arrange technician and operator training.
  • Provide a complete set of documentation for the installations to customers and end users.

You will also be required to contribute towards the success of Prime Design Projects growth strategy, as well as on-going project process improvements.

What we are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified project manager, with at least 4 years’ experience in leading manufacturing capital projects. The role requires an engineering background; an apprentice/graduate engineer, preferably with experience of civil works, utilities and production lines. The ability to speak French and/or Spanish would be an advantage.

It would suit someone looking to develop their career by leading international complex capital manufacturing projects.

You will understand the principles of integrating production lines and production flows, and have an understanding of, or experience in 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

The nature of the role will require variable and extended hours when working on international projects with different time zones, as well as international travel, occasionally for periods up to 4 weeks during installation and commissioning phases.
